We Are Progress is a series of campus-based training sessions we have put together in key cities across the country to mobilize young people toward holding their elected leaders accountable into taking a proactive role in shaping the future of progressive policy on every level.

In Columbus, Ohio we are helping train local Ohio activists – including many first-time activists – on how to be effective leaders on the issues they care most about. At this one-day training, activists will participate in a series of break out workshops that will give you the proper tools to mobilize and organize people on your campus and community.  These workshops will discuss best practices in activism and lobbying, how to take action against federal regulations, engage with the press, and how to participate in civic leadership. We will also have keynote speakers and elected officials such as City Council Member Elizabeth Brown. As a young elected official, she has played an active role in shaping Columbus’s progressive values and is a fantastic example of youth power in local leadership.
