Every one of them has a different experience, shaped by the organization with which they serve. A New Generation of Philanthropists
Students donate their time during Locks of Love event During the 2016-17 academic year Ohio Campus Compact sponsored ten courses in Licking County at Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark and Denison University through generous funding from the Licking County Foundation and The John and Mary Alford Foundation, and two courses at Mount Saint Joseph University with funding from the Elizabeth Ricci Family Fund of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation. 2017 Charles J. Ping Student Service Legacy Award Winners Announced
The Charles J. Ping Student Service Award was designed to recognize and honor undergraduate students for their outstanding leadership and contributions to community service or service-learning on their campus and within their community. These students represent the next generation of civic leaders and problem solvers. The award is named in honor of Charles J. Ping, who served as President of Ohio University from 1975 – 1994. 2017 David Hoch Memorial Award for Excellence in Service Winners
The David Hoch Memorial Award for Excellence in Service is designed to recognize and honor the outstanding work in service-learning and/or civic engagement done by a faculty or staff member at an Ohio Campus Compact member institution. This award is named for the late David Hoch, the Dean of Honors at The University of Toledo, who served as the Director of Service Learning from 1999 – 2005. Hoch was instrumental in initiating and nurturing the role of civic engagement at The University of Toledo, not only in the Honors Program, but in residence life and other departments as well.
